Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering seeks a Research Associate to support random lasing projects, experimental optics, spectroscopy and metrology. You will work with PIs, collaborate with external partners, publish results and help advance bioimaging and imaging instrumentation.

The role involves coordinating research activities, mentoring students and contributing to proposals. Master’s in a related field and hands-on optics experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Master’s in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics or a similar discipline with optics, imaging, spectroscopy and instrumentation background.
Proven programming and data processing skills in listed tools and languages.
Experience in optics, random lasing, spectroscopy, metrology and related instrumentation is desirable.

Responsibilities

Support research activities in random lasing and related optics projects.
Assist in experimental optics, spectroscopy, imaging and instrument development.
Coordinate research activities with NTU and external collaborators; contribute to publications and proposals.
