Responsibilities

• Perform duties as WT Operator or WT Shunter in various areas.
• Adhere to safety instructions when shunting rail vehicles.
• Work closely with WTS and ensure safe movement of vehicles.
• Conduct various brake function tests and equipment checks.
• Assist in the OJT Training of other team members.

Job Description

• Perform duties as WT Operator or WT Shunter in Depot, TSA, Station and Viaduct Trackwork Area
• Adhere to WTDC instruction when shunting of Rail Vehicle within Trackwork Area
• Work closely with WTS, ensure safe movement and obey WTS hand signal/ radio instructions
• Perform BPCT, various brake function tests, coupling/ uncoupling, Service Vehicle Load Gauge checks, apply Target Discs, Wheel Scotches, SLB, hand signal. Liaise with WTDC and TPIC
• Sign In/ Out Radio, Loco Log Card, Checklist, Hand signal Equipment and Loco Keys for work and return them after used
• Perform duty (interchangeable) of WTO/ WTS as per WT Coordinator’s roster
• Removal/ Re-instating Sector Limit Boards, Red Flashing Lights, throwing & securing of points, Line Clear upon WTDC instruction
• Assist in the OJT Training of other WTO/ WTS attached to his Consist
• Perform any duties assigned by the WTM or his Delegate

Requirements

• Trained and qualified as WTO/ WTS in SMRT, NEL, CCL/ CLE, DTL, or any other railway projects
