Job description

Job responsibilities :

  • Draft, negotiate and issue sales contracts as per recaps.
  • Highlight clauses in contracts which may expose our position and propose adequate clauses or solutions to mitigate the risk.
  • Assist Traders with KYC of new Counterparties.
  • Prepare/issue LC as per contractual terms for import.
  • Review/follow up with LC as per contractual terms for export.
  • Prepare documents presentation under for LC.
  • Manages the scheduling of laycan between both suppliers and receivers.
    • Send document/shipping instructions to suppliers, review draft cargo documents and ensure its compliant with buyer’s request/LC/disport requirements.
    • Send inspection appointments (if required).
    • Review quality results vs contractual specifications.
    • Submit claims to insurers in case of quality/quantity loss.
    • Handle bulk and/or container shipments including trucking operations.
    • Liaise with internal teams to ensure internal ETRMs are up to date (dates/quantity affecting pricing or credit limits).
  • Clear vessel with both loadport and disport.
    • Ensure vessel (both chartered and non-chartered) is compliant with internal compliance policies.
    • Issue load/discharge instructions.
    • Monitor vessel itinerary to ensure vessel arrives timely at both loadport and disport.
    • Prepare and issue marine LOIs.
    • Review freight calculations and arrange for payment.
    • Review laytime calculations from vessel owners/suppliers/receivers and send dispatch/demurrage claims.
    • Review stowage plan to ensure vessel is able to load contractual quantity and meeting both loadport/disport restrictions.
    • Declare insurance for vessel/cargo.
  • Negotiate warehouse contracts.
    • Review suitability of warehouse in terms of rates and warehouse performance on both quantity and quality assurance.
    • Manage and reconcile warehouse inventory.
    • Plan and issue orders/instructions to receive or deliver from warehouse.
    • Declare insurance for warehouse.
  • Provide price calculations and verify invoices from counterparties.
    • Review invoices from Vendors to ensure rates are as agreed and charged appropriate per services rendered.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working
