Job summary

Flowdesk, a global digital asset trading and technology firm, seeks a Trading Operations Analyst for the APAC region based in Singapore. You will oversee daily trading operations, shape trading strategies, ensure governance and risk controls, and coordinate across desks.

You will optimize routes, implement automation, and maintain dashboards and alerts while collaborating with engineering, risk, and compliance teams to support 24/7 market hours.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional experience in trading operations or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, CS, or engineering; MBA/certs a plus.
• Strong Python and SQL coding skills for data wrangling, automation, and reconciliation.
• Experience with API integration (FIX/REST/WebSocket) and OMS/EMS concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD workflows is advantageous.
• Professional English proficiency and willingness to cover shifts.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 market environment.

Role Description

As the Trading Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of our trading operations in the APAC region. You will play a key role in shaping trading strategies, ensuring governance and compliance, and managing the daily operational activities of the trading team.

Your ability to manage risk, coordinate interdepartmental activities, and foster strong client relationships will be essential to the success of our trading operations in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

This is primarily a business-as-usual operational role — the daily running of the desk is a core, non-negotiable part of the job, alongside the project work described below.

• Manage trading routes for efficiency and profitability.
• Establish and maintain automation structure and routes.
• Enforce transaction authorization policies and document optimized trading processes.
• Oversee tools and external service providers.
• Implement automation and system integration, and advanced monitoring for market making and OTC derivatives activities.
• Facilitate critical communication and workflow alignment between the APAC trading desk, global engineering, risk management, and compliance teams.
• Provide operational tools for efficiency.
• Contribute to reconciliation initiatives across different business lines, working alongside senior members of the trading operations team.

Requirements

Must Have

• 2 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications a plus).
• Genuine interest in digital asset markets.
• Solid coding background: Python (data wrangling, automation, monitoring, and reconciliation tooling) and proficiency with SQL.
• Exposure to or strong aptitude for API integration (FIX/REST/WebSocket), OMS/EMS, and blockchain fundamentals (wallets, custody, fees, confirmations).
• Experience building or willingness to learn operational dashboards, alerts, and workflows; familiarity with version control (Git) and basic CI/CD is advantageous.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to cover rotational shifts or on-call as needed for market hours and incident response.

Preferred

• Regulatory/compliance exposure (KYC/AML, Travel Rule, market abuse surveillance, licensing regimes).
• Understanding of risk management and security protocols in the cryptocurrency industry.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 market environment; sound judgment under pressure and strong ownership mindset.
