Role Overview:

The Cold Room Operations Supervisor oversees daily operations in the cold storage area of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products while maintaining safety and quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of warehouse associates, promoting high performance and adherence to procedures in a cold environment.

Job Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
  • Lead warehouse staff in daily operations
  • Ensure incoming goods are in good condition and correctly quantified
  • Manage inventory levels to support business and production needs
  • Oversee cold room activities including receiving, storage, and dispatch of frozen seafood
  • Implement FIFO and manage expiry dates to reduce waste
  • Monitor stock levels and conduct regular checks
  • Generate weekly inventory reports
  • Train staff in handling perishable goods, temperature control, and hygiene standards
Operations Support:
  • Coordinate logistics for storage, pick-and-pack, and shipments
  • Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure integration between procurement, inventory, and production schedules
  • Maintain accurate records of pricing, traceability, and quality checks
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to optimize inventory and meet demand
  • Manage delivery routes, vehicle assignments, and schedules for efficiency
Compliance & Documentation:
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations
  • Assist in audit preparations and certification processes
  • Enforce proper handling and storage procedures to maintain product quality
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or NITEC in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in warehousing, inventory, and operations
  • Knowledge of cold storage and food industry regulations (ISO, HACCP)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems
