Job description:

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As Operations Owner Representative, collaborate closely with the Operations, Projects & Development teams to evaluate and ensure project safety, operability, maintainability, and quality.
  • Manage all interfaces between the Operations and Projects & Development teams throughout all project phases, from conceptualization to final investment decision, engineering, procurement, construction, and handover.
  • Ensure project execution does not compromise the safety and reliability of the Terminal. Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage potential operational risks.
  • Provide regular, accurate, and comprehensive project progress reports and seek alignment with VP, Operations.
  • Coordinate with Operations Managers to develop resource plans for project management and collaborate with Human Resources on staffing needs.
  • Manage and coordinate all project activities supporting Operations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team members.
  • Foster a positive, proactive work environment encouraging teamwork, openness, honesty, and integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in engineering from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of operations experience and 5 years as a project manager for large projects (>$100 million), preferably in the Chemical or Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience with LNG or cryogenic processes is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction, with the ability to manage conflicts to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  • Knowledge of management of change processes and technical integrity management.
  • Leadership skills with a proven track record in managing complex tasks within a team.
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to delivering results.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management skills.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills across all management levels and stakeholders.


Profile description:

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The incumbent will represent Terminal Operations in interfacing with the Project & Development team as the Operations Owner Representative. He/She will ensure projects are safe to operate, operable, maintainable, and fit-for-purpose, applying best practices and lessons learned from existing Terminal operations. The role encompasses overall responsibility from project conceptualization to handover, working with multidisciplinary teams in the Chemical or Oil and Gas sectors.
