The Operations Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring manufacturing operations to ensure customer demand is fulfilled efficiently and on time. The role develops integrated production plans by balancing customer requirements, material availability, manufacturing capacity, labor resources, and cost management. Working closely with Supply Chain Planner, Production, Warehouse, Engineering and Quality teams, the Operations Planner ensures smooth execution of the production schedule while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet customer delivery requirements.
Develop achievable production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and capacity.
Prioritize and coordinate production activities to optimize resources, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Manage production work orders and planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
Monitor schedule performance and adjust plans to address changing priorities and operational challenges.
Ensure material availability by working closely with Purchasing, Planning, and Warehouse teams to resolve shortages.
Analyze manpower, equipment, and capacity utilization to identify constraints and recommend solutions.
Support production meetings by providing scheduling updates, recovery plans, and operational insights.
Track production output, productivity, and planning performance, and implement corrective actions when required.
Prepare planning reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management review.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce lead times, and improve factory throughput.
Maintain accurate planning parameters, system master data, and support long-term capacity planning.
Diploma in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production planning, operations planning, or manufacturing scheduling.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
Strong Excel and data-analysis capability.
