Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Management
    • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
    • Ensure proper stock handling, labeling, and organization to maintain inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor warehouse performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Logistics & Distribution
    • Plan, schedule, and optimize delivery routes and trips to ensure timely distribution with cost efficiency.
    • Supervise the logistics team and third-party transport providers to meet delivery KPIs.
    • Resolve transportation issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory Control
    • Maintain accurate stock levels and implement procedures to prevent stock-outs.
    • Monitor and manage inventory aging to reduce and prevent stock obsolescence.
    • Coordinate regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
    • Foster a safety-first culture and uphold operational standards and protocols.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Track and report key operational metrics including delivery trip efficiency, cost per delivery, stock-out frequency, and inventory aging.
    • Provide actionable insights to senior management for operational planning and improvements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of trips delivered per period with adherence to cost benchmarks
  • Zero or minimal stock-outs across all product categories
  • Reduction and control of inventory obsolescence
  • On-time delivery rate
  • Warehouse accuracy and productivity metrics
  • Inventory turnover ratio

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing cost-saving initiatives in logistics or warehousing.
  • Familiarity with lean warehousing practices and process optimization.
  • Certification in supply chain (e.g., CSCP, APICS) is a plus.
