Baker Hughes is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily factory and plant operations at the Batam facility, with on-site work in Batam, Indonesia, and regular travel to Singapore. The role focuses on safe, on-time production and budget adherence within an energy-technology environment.

You will drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, manage ERP/QMS processes, and mentor engineers and supervisors to build a high-performance team in a global manufacturing setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, QMS, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong analytical, financial, and people leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Production Oversight: Monitor daily manufacturing output, manage shift schedules, and ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are met.
• Process Improvement: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce scrap and rework, and boost productivity.
• Resource & Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with sourcing, maintenance, and warehousing teams to manage raw material inventory, equipment availability, and plant maintenance plans.
• Quality & Safety Enforcement: Maintain strict quality control protocols and enforce workplace health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Budget & Cost Control: Track operational expenditures, manage department budgets, and analyze KPIs to drive profitability.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor production personnel, supervisors, and engineers to build a high-performance culture.

This position is employed by Vetco Gray Pte. Ltd., Singapore, supporting the manufacturing facility in Batam, Indonesia. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in Batam approximately 3–5 days per week, with the flexibility to return to Singapore on weekends and public holidays.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.


• Have at least 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.


• Have experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.


• Have knowledge of ERP systems, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and preventive maintenance programs.


• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, financial, and people leadership skills.


• Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
