Job description

Main Responsibilities

· Oversee Freight Operations (5)

o Manage, train, and mentor a team of Freight Operations Supervisors and Executives.

o Ensure operational readiness and coverage as required.

o Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

o Serve as the primary operational contact for internal staff and key clients.

o Handle escalations and special requests.

o Coordinate with airlines, vendors, and stakeholders for rate negotiations and procurement.

o Ensure accurate completion and compliance of shipping documents and customs declarations.

o Handle queries from Singapore Customs regarding customs declarations.

o Identify and implement efficiency improvements in handling and routing.

o Supported by the Freight Operations Supervisor.

· Ground Operations Team (20)

o Manage, train, and mentor Ground Operations staff, including crew, drivers, and fleet controllers.

o Oversee daily operations and manage scheduling.

o Plan routes to optimize vehicle usage to meet customer needs.

o Ensure compliance with security SOPs, both internal and external.

o Respond to security incidents and lead investigations with authorities.

o Ensure adequate staffing, including night and weekend shifts.

o Maintain proper documentation and records.

o Coordinate between Freight and Ground Operations and collaborate with related departments.

o Ensure equipment and supplies are sufficient and assets are maintained.

o Monitor and improve SOPs related to the handling of valuable cargo.

o Identify risks and implement preventive measures.

o Supported by the Chief, Vice Chief of Delivery Crew, Fleet Controllers, and Security Executive.
