Job description

Main Responsibilities

· Oversee Freight Operations (5)

o Manage, train and mentor a team of Freight Operations Supervisor and Executives

o Ensure operational readiness and coverage as required

o Develop and enforce SOPs

o Serve as a primary operational point of contact for Internal Staff and key clients

o Handle escalations and special requests

o Co-ordinate with airlines, vendors and related stakeholders for rates negotiation and operational procurement

o Ensure accurate completion and full compliance of shipping documents and customs declaration requirements

o Handle queries from Singapore Customs on related customs declarations

o Identify and implement efficiency improvements in handling and routing

o Assisted by Freight Operations Supervisor

· Ground Operations Team (20)

o Manage, train and mentor a team of Ground Operations staff, including Crew, Drivers and Fleet Controllers

o Oversee and manage day-to-day operations

o Plan and schedule daily routes to ensure that the optimum number of vehicles are working at all times to meet customer needs

o Ensure compliance with Security SOP, both internal and external

o Respond to security incidents and lead investigations in cooperation with authorities

o Ensure adequate staffing and shift scheduling, including night and weekend coverage as required

o Ensure proper documentation and record keeping

o Provide linkage between Freight and Ground Operations; and work closely with other related departments such as customer service, key accounts, finance and HR.

o Ensure the equipment and supplies are adequate

o Ensure assets (fleet) and equipment are maintained and operationally ready for secured transportation

o Monitor and improve SOPs related to Ground Handling of Valuable Cargo

o Identify risks and implement preventive measures

o Assisted by Chief and Vice Chief of Delivery Crew, Fleet Controllers and Security Executive
