Job description

This role is key to integrating warehouse operations, fleet management, and business coordination to meet the company's service level, efficiency, and safety goals. You will oversee multiple teams in a streamlined operation, ensuring the efficient receiving, warehousing, and delivery of products in line with the company's service and cost targets. Your role involves collaborating and influencing across various levels, working closely with sales, supply chain, and other key departments to drive success.

Main job responsibilities:

  • Develop logistics strategies that suit Company's business model.
  • Formulate and drive logistics procedures to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment and control of inventory transactions while remaining cost effective.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and look into recommendations and alternatives at both a tactical and strategic level.
  • Plan, organize, and reconcile physical inventory procedures to ensure accurate physical inventory records.
  • Manage the company’s fleet, ensuring the company follows the laws and regulations regarding transportation.
  • Ensure the company complies with custom regulations and laws, so that the company enjoys benefits from the custom privileges.
  • Ensure compliance with and advice on safety regulations, policies / procedures and environmental standards.
  • Ensure world class customer service is achieved.
  • Develop and implement operations policies and procedures, define plans that close current gaps and ensure compliance.
  • Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork and collaboration, both internally and externally.
  • Build your team's capabilities.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or related discipline
  • Experience in 5S
  • Experience in Lean or Six Sigma
  • Experience in HSE and Risk Assessment
  • Experience in Warehouse Management System
  • Strong business acumen and experience managing complex supply chains and operations management
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence across multiple teams, creating effective internal business partnerships
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines
  • Ability to independently lead teams and execute on functional responsibilities
