Overview
The Operations Head is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Customer Service, Treasury and International & Loans Units of the branch. He/She assists the Head of Central Operations in the operation and control of the branch, Treasury, Loans and Private Banking and ensures prompt and efficient delivery in compliance with the bank’s service standards and internal control.
Responsibilities
- Performs start and end of day activities
- Ensures that manning of the counters is always adequate.
- Monitors branch daily cash-in-vault within authorized limits.
- Ensures accomplishment of fund generation target through in-house marketing activities.
- Oversees the operation of the branch
- Includes marketing and service delivery.
- Informs clients of regulatory changes and product offerings
- Cross-sells existing bank products and services.
- Conducts account reviews
- Ensure continuous enhancement of quality of service.
- Approves and verifies transactions
- Over-the-counter, trade & loans, treasury support, Customer Service Unit and International & Loans Unit in accordance with defined policies and procedures and within authority limits.
- Reviews, prepares, approves and submits branch reports
- Monitors and reports past due accounts
- Handles client concerns
- Sees to it that they are addressed immediately.
- Ensures service standards and client expectations
- Accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time.
- Ensures compliance with regulations
- Singapore Monetary Authority, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Anti-Money Laundering Council and other pertinent government agencies.
- Ensures bank policies, procedures and controls related to branch operations are followed to attain an acceptable audit rating.
- Administrative and governance duties
- Conduct of regular operations meetings, branch upkeep, implementation of duties and responsibilities of operational personnel.
- Manpower and development
- Handles manpower issues, initiates personnel movements, career planning and development of branch personnel under his unit.
- Audit and governance support
- Assists the Head of Central Operations in the review and discussion of internal and external audit findings, comments, recommendations and ensures audit rectifications are implemented; replies to audit findings are submitted promptly.
- Alternate role
- Acts as alternate Consumer Assistance Office (CAO).
- Other duties
- Performs other duties assigned from time to time.
