Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore seeks an experienced professional to support the Transport Department. Qualifications

  • Support the Transport Department to ensure efficient logistics operations.

  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for operational emergencies.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To support the Transport Department in ensuring efficient logistics operations, including vessel monitoring, driver deployment, document processing, and customer service, while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Safety Compliance:

  • Safety & Health:
  • Adhere to and promote workplace safety, following OSH guidelines and safe work methods.
  • Report and assist in incident investigations when required.
  • Vessel & Logistics Coordination:
  • Monitor vessel movements via Portnet & JP online system and coordinate with shipping agents.
  • Liaise with customers and plant operators on order status and loading schedules.
  • Driver & Fleet Management:
  • Plan, assign, and monitor driver deployments to meet delivery KPIs.
  • Track driver progress using GPS tracking systems and ensure adherence to routes.
  • Manage a fleet of Prime Movers and drivers, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Documentation & Customer Service:
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents via Portnet & Jurong Port online systems .
  • Process delivery receipts/proof of delivery (POD) within required lead times.
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly.
  • Administrative & Emergency Duties:
  • Verify and reconcile driver trip records post-job completion.
  • Handle urgent delivery requests and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support (rotational basis) for operational emergencies.

Key requirements:

  • Education: min GCE 'O' Level / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), preferably in Traffic Planning, Workforce Allocation, or Transport Operations
