Responsibilities:

• Process upstream orders and issue Purchase Orders.

• Liaise with supplier, freight forwarders and warehouse on all matters related to shipment coordination and ensure a smooth and timely arrival of shipment

• Negotiate rates and contracts with freight carriers to achieve cost-effective shipping solutions.

• Manage full spectrum of shipping documentation (invoice, packing list, L/C negotiation, certificate of origin, bill of lading etc.)

• Timely verification and submission of shipping documents to Finance team for payment

• Monitor and analyse freight expenses regularly to ensure alignment with budget targets.

• Evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

• Undertake any other ad-hoc projects/ tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply & Shipping, ideally in a trading and distribution setting.

• Knowledge of incoterms and Letters of Credit (L/C) is advantageous.

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NAV, SAP, or Oracle.

• Prior experience in purchasing would be beneficial.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure.

• Strong work ethic, collaborates effectively within teams, works autonomously when needed, takes initiative, and pays meticulous attention to detail
