Job summary

A leading company in the maritime sector seeks a Marine Shipment Coordinator to manage logistics operations. The successful candidate will handle inquiries, monitor shipments, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Candidates with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or Logistics, along with relevant experience, are encouraged to apply.

Job description

  • Manage all Marine Shipment Operations and related inquiries
  • Monitor and respond to emails, phone calls, and messages from clients and vendors
  • Receive Delivery Orders (DO) from customers and acknowledge receipt via email
  • Verify DO for stock availability and provide updates to the customer
  • Liaise with relevant agents; exchange contact details with agents
  • Coordinate collection of stock from local suppliers when necessary
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for inbound and outbound movements
  • Track vessel arrival status and monitor supply boat schedule
  • Check and coordinate boat arrangements as required
  • Organize transport and prepare documents for loading activities
  • Ensure all additional charges are communicated and updated to the customer
  • Collect vessel-endorsed DO upon completion of loading
  • File all relevant documents appropriately upon job completion
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in the maritime or logistics industry
  • Knowledge of maritime operations and supply chain logistics is an added advantage
