Job description

Connect Energy partners with a shipping company with a presence in Singapore to look for an OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE for a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for day-to-day operations of a diverse fleet of commercially managed vessels such as gas carriers / dry bulk fleet or any other type of ship managed commercially services engaged on voyage charter / time charter / contract of affreightment etc.
  2. Plan and execute procedures for bunkering, issuing of cargo / customs / freight documents, stowage plans, invoicing, etc., and prepare voyage analysis results.
  3. Monitor performance of vessels relative to c/p requirements on TC or voyage basis including speed and consumption.
  4. Identify any underperformance in a timely manner and take action to remedy any underperformance while continuously seeking opportunities to improve performance and efficiencies.
  5. Mitigate potential issues with difficult cargoes, ports, or trading areas.
  6. Relationship management with all stakeholders.
  7. Create market analysis & reports of different shipping sectors.

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Engineering, preferably in Maritime.
  2. Experience in operations and chartering of Gas Carriers, preferably in Ammonia Carrier.
  3. Experience in both tankers and dry cargo highly preferred.
  4. Hands-on knowledge of commercial management - operations, chartering, marine accounting, and knowledge of voyage and time chartering parties for dry bulk / tanker vessels.
