The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end settlement process and resolve trade discrepancies. Ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in settlement within alternative investments. This is a 6-month contract role with potential conversion.

About the Client…

Our client, a leading alternative investment firm, is looking for an Operations Executive to support post-trade activities across equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives. This role is key to ensuring smooth settlement processes and maintaining operational accuracy in a fast-moving investment environment.

The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in coordinating with custodians, brokers, and internal teams to manage trade lifecycle events, resolve settlement issues, and uphold data integrity across systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational experience in trade support who is looking to grow in a collaborative, performance-driven setting. This is a 6 months contract role with conversion potential.

About the Responsibilities…

  • Oversee end-to-end settlement process for equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives.
  • Collaborate with custodians, prime brokers, counterparties and front office teams to resolve trade discrepancies.
  • Respond to operational queries from fund administrators.
  • Manage margin and collateral movements as required.
  • Handle corporate actions and asset servicing tasks, including proxy voting.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the finance team to validate accounting data and ensure accurate fund records.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support ad hoc operational projects.

About the Requirements…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of settlement experience in alternative investments funds, with a focus on public credit and equity.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
