Job Description and Requirements of Operations Manager

Reporting Lines:

This position reports directly to the College Director. The incumbent’s primary role is to ensure the operations readiness of the college, which mainly include managing the college HR, liaising with regulatory authorities and vendors, creating organizational budgets in collaboration with the College Director and other misc. tasks.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of college operations - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning;

  • Responsible for the HR function of the College and to maintain office policies as necessary;

  • Main point of contact with all regulatory authorities;

  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlord;

  • Coordinate purchases of all IT and office equipment;

  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease;

  • Manage office operational budget, ensure accurate and timely reporting;

  • Provide general support to visitors;

  • Assist the College Director or its appointed designate for the conduct of quality audits by external regulatory agencies regarding student enrolment and student documentation.


Requirements

  • Candidate with a Diploma in Accounting / Business / Management would be preferred;

  • Experience in the education sector would be an advantage;

  • Strong leadership and management skills with good interpersonal skills;

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being meticulous;

  • Detailed-oriented, independent, meticulous and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;

  • Team player with strong written communication skills;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;

  • Familiarity with the EduTrust and WSQ Frameworks would be an advantage, though not mandatory.
