A leading logistics company in Singapore is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to manage the transportation process and ensure timely deliveries. You will liaise with clients and oversee fleet operations while ensuring compliance with safety and operational regulations. Candidates should possess a Diploma in Logistics and have relevant experience in third-party logistics and traffic planning.

Job description

  1. Committed to doing everything to prevent injuries and to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  2. Support the OSH program and integrate safety and health into daily routines, ensuring adherence to safe work methods and relevant regulations.
  3. Monitor vessel movements with agents via the Portnet system.
  4. Liaise closely with customers and plant operators on order status and loading schedules.
  5. Plan and deploy tasks to drivers, ensuring KPIs are met and maintaining smooth operations from job initiation to completion.
  6. Prioritize urgent requests and ensure timely deliveries.
  7. Prepare and verify all shipping documents via Portnet & Jurong Port online, ensuring completeness and compliance with customer requirements to facilitate delivery.
  8. Check and verify drivers' and supply team's trip forms post-job completion.
  9. Respond to customer inquiries related to documents, such as delivery receipts or proof of delivery, within the specified lead time.
  10. Ensure drivers are aware of specific customer requirements and monitor GPS tracking to track driver progress along assigned routes.
  11. Handle customer feedback and other administrative issues; perform additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.
  12. Submit incident or investigation reports as required.
  13. Manage a fleet of Prime Movers and drivers.
  14. Standby or handle 24/7 duty phone on rotation during operations.
  15. Requirements:

  • GCE A-level or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in third-party logistics, preferably in traffic planning and workforce management and allocations.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, follow timelines, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak periods and take responsibility and accountability for roles.
  • Capable of identifying and suggesting improvements.
  • Willing to work on a 24/7 standby basis to address agent/client queries regarding supply status.
  • Team player, as collaboration with team members is essential.
  • Excellent MS Office skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
