Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong operational knowledge within Freight Forwarding covering Air, Ocean and Crosstrade.
  • This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations.
  • Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk, etc.
  • Haulage arrangements.
  • Customs clearance declaration.
  • Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer’s shipments.
  • Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z.
  • Build and maintain good rapport with customers to fulfill their requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes.
  • Troubleshooting and attending to ministry/official authority.
  • Ensure all enquiries are responded to within the shortest possible time frame.
  • To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation based on customer’s requirements.
  • Follow up with customer, overseas agents, and overseas offices on the quotation/proposal and negotiate to a closure.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers.
  • Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time.
