Sembcorp Industries is seeking a qualified candidate for a role managing power plant operations. The successful applicant will oversee regulatory compliance, budget management, and team coordination. This position requires an engineering degree and at least two years of relevant experience, particularly in Cogen Plants.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Manage non-operating activities and co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders on operating requirements to facilitate the smooth operation of the power plants and in compliance with regulatory and company standards and requirements.
Consolidate annual operating budget for review and approval and monitor expenditure to ensure operating cost are within budget.
Represent operations in maintenance task meetings to resolve for planned and corrective maintenance activities.
Co-ordinate requirements and liaise with procurement for the purchase of spares e.g., chemicals, i.e., those not under maintenance etc.
Liaise with customers to resolve routine contractual issues
Liaise with regulators to ensure the validity and renewal of required operating permits.
Prepare and submit all necessary regulatory reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare operation reports for management reporting as per required frequency.
Co-ordinate, collate and implement inputs/updates for SOPs and ensure compliance.
Co-ordinate schedule and prepare documentations for internal and external audit.
Perform quarterly plant performance test, reporting and monitoring.
Role of Energy Manager and WEMP Manager in the plant.
Successful candidate can be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT)(training will be provided)
Analyse operational data and performance trends to improve operational matters and identify abnormalities in equipment condition.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company standards.
Perform root cause analysis of incidents or operational upsets.
Maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and safety related equipment
Participate in continuous improvement programs
Shift support for plant Start-up/Shut down
Shift support for plant emergency condition to avoid undue trips to process steam export and meet the load schedule without any non-conformance.
Investigate plant abnormalities, and take corrective course of action during shift (plant trips, unit de-ration, occurrence of fire etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in any engineering qualification.
Min 2 years of relevant working experience in plant set-up
Experience in Cogen Plant will be advantage
