A leading company in the chemical engineering sector is seeking an Operations Engineer to monitor plant operations, optimize processes, and lead safety analyses. Job Description
· Day to day monitoring of the plant and give guidance to the shift operation team
· Planning and coordination of the job with maintenance department to troubleshoot the issues and processes when needed (Routine as well as during outages)
· Plant optimization, evaluate critical operational processes and identify key areas to improve operational effectiveness.
· Preparation of Plant Turnaround tasks and coordination of activities Initiate plant modifications to improve performance and reliability.
· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D reports on process incidents and process inducted mechanical failures, recommend corrective actions to permanently eliminate them and follow up on closure of the actions.
· Participate in various PSM elements like Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) /Pre Startup Safety Review (PSSR), Hazop etc
· Support implementation of Process Safety directives, guidelines and prepare reports as necessary
· Review the Management of Change (MOC) and execute the changes
· Support Operations Manager in preparation of operations budget
· Support Projects during development, execution and commission[1]ing, and provide Operational inputs at all stages, Supporting Busi[1]ness Development activity – preparing concept, PFD & P&ID
· Support Invoice processing and Government regulation reporting
· Facing External / Internal Audit and closing of the CARs in given time limit.
Requirements
· Preferably Degree in Chemical Engineering with 1-2 years’ operating experience in large scale complex plant. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
· Experienced in plant commissioning will be advantageous, with experience in Refinery, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical
· Process modeling skills desirable; Financial and commercial awareness desirable
· Prior experience working with semiconductor customers will be advantageous.
· Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing the operation of process plants
· Knowledge of Industrial standards and applicable codes for process plants
· Strong team person with good problem-solving skills. Collaborative with a good learning attitude.
· Strong leadership and organizing abilities
· Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing people at all levels of the organization
· Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools
