Job summary

Abbott in Singapore (Tuas) is seeking an Operations Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence by analyzing production data from ZARPAC, SCADA and MES to identify losses and reliability opportunities. You will lead cross-functional improvement initiatives, improve asset productivity and develop dashboards for informed decision-making.

The role requires a related engineering degree, 2–5 years of experience in pharma, food, or petrochemicals, and knowledge of GMP and maintenance systems such as

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, BioEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Control & Instrumentation.
• Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical, Food, or Petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems (Maximo), SAP, and MES/POMS.
• Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and microbiological principles.
• Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data from ZARPAC, SCADA, MES to identify losses, microstoppages and efficiency gaps.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives to resolve microstoppages and improve equipment reliability.
• Support continuous improvement programs aligned with site productivity and manufacturing excellence objectives.
• Develop dashboards, trend analyses and performance reporting for data-driven decisions and prioritization of improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
