Job description

Job Scope:

1. Ensure that plant and equipment are operated in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.

2. Optimize production plant processes to run at the most efficient conditions, meeting the operating budget and customer requirements.

3. Lead operations and maintenance teams in plant troubleshooting, abnormal situation analysis, and non-routine operational phases.

4. Analyze production data and apply statistical methods to identify corrective actions and optimization opportunities.

5. Recommend methods to improve plant operations and reduce costs. Prepare and analyze reports on production, performance, and safety.

6. Participate in root cause analysis of operational events. Participate in production planning to align with demand forecasts.

7. Manage plant product inventory effectively. Organize and coordinate maintenance activities.

8. Conduct training sessions to ensure personnel competency and maintain continuity of knowledge and experience within operations.

9. Assist the Operations Manager with operational planning and supervisory tasks.

10. Coordinate and exercise functional authority over planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within assigned areas.

11. Coordinate responses to prospective client inquiries, participate in bids, and provide effective engineering solutions.

12. Participate in system design and project costing; communicate with equipment and plant experts to develop cost-effective designs and engineering solutions.

13. Compile technical and commercial proposals from contractors and suppliers, including tender preparation, evaluation, awarding, execution, and follow-up.

14. Prepare technical specifications for procurement. Plan and organize projects in terms of scheduling, resource allocation, and labor.

15. Maintain a safe and orderly working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

16. Coordinate internally across departments and externally with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for project execution.

17. Ensure project schedules and budgets are met. Provide technical support to the commissioning and operations teams.

18. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and certified standards, including ISO and Food Safety Management System (FSSC).

19. Report food safety-related issues where applicable. Ensure that products and services meet or exceed customer expectations while complying with the Food Safety Management System (FSSC).

20. Undertake other related tasks as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
