Job description

The successful candidate will be coordinating the development and maintenance of structures and travelling exhibitions. He/she will also be involved in the upkeeping of the community galleries (Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery and Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery).

Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with contractors for the fabrication, installation, structural maintenance and cleaning works of heritage trail structures (e.g. trail markers, wayfinding signages, exhibition panels), with possible involvement in the tender process.
  2. Liaise with schools and partners for the travelling exhibitions, including managing the end-to-end process from handling queries on the bookings, conducting recces with contractors to preparing the paperwork for procurement and billing.
  3. Assist to manage and prepare rosters for gallery sitters of the community galleries.
  4. Liaise with various contractors to ensure the general wellbeing and smooth operations of the community galleries.
  5. Assist with monitoring budget and record keeping of key details and administrative procedures.
  6. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Possess working knowledge of estates and facilities management, with preferably at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  2. Self-motivated, creative, problem solver that can take on challenges (e.g., tight timelines, resources and budget, multi-task when needed), adapt and think outside the box.
  3. Team player and collaborator with proven ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders and/or agencies.
  4. Preferably experienced in procurement processes and/or Business Continuity Management processes.
  5. Able to communicate well, in written and oral formats, across all levels of stakeholders.
  6. Willing to be on the move for site visits where required.

This role will be a 1-year contract (renewable) under BGC Group.
