A ground handling service company in Singapore is seeking a candidate for a role that involves providing aircraft ground handling services, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, and delivering excellent customer service. Candidates should have a diploma or above, possess a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. The role requires shift work and the ability to work under various conditions.
Job Purpose:
This position acts as the Company representative and understands all aspects of ground handling including both customer service and ramp. Responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks most of which are associated with aircraft ground handling or the support of a flight. You will be responsible for working with a variety of government agents, vendors, customers and other cross-functional employees. You will also be responsible for making sure that all services of ground handling are provided in a manner consistent with standard operating procedures and compliance standards.
Responsibilities and Associated Duties:
Demonstrates excellent customer service even under stressful circumstances
Understands all Customs / Immigration requirements
Understands all aspects of entry requirements.
Has demonstrated all aspects of catering, lavatory service, refuelling, transportation and hotel accommodation.
Understands all requirements associated with Aircraft arrival and departure paperwork
Can provide full aircraft ground handling service
Demonstrate appropriate discretion and informal leadership abilities. Sets a good example for other team members.
Can perform essentially any other duty that may reasonably be requested by the company or a client.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Diploma and above
Prior customer service or airport operations experience would be advantageous
Must possess valid driver’s license
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) at a basic level
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Significant internal and external customer service skills required
Able to communicate effectively in high stress environments
Exhibit strong positive teamwork attributes; loyalty to the Company and to fellow employees, must have a professional demeanour, strong work ethic, and willingness to embrace change.
Must be willing to work outside during inclement weather
Able to work shift and Long hours.
