Job description

About BeeX

BeeX is building the world's most advanced Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs).

BeeX specialises in providing autonomous robotics solutions to safeguard underwater infrastructure in the maritime, energy and defence sectors, reducing carbon emissions by over 90%. We are pioneering Autonomous Robotics-as-a-Service (ARaaS) on a global scale, supported by decades of operational experience in harsh waters. With unprecedented efficiency, we strive to provide our customers with a one-point solution for asset integrity management -- protecting assets they value, making sure they stay safe.

Why Join Now

The industries we serve need new ways to overcome their current challenges, and BeeX sees the opportunity in delivering exactly that, right now. Creating anything new is very hard, and we need outstanding people.

At BeeX, everyone is dependent; united by enthusiasm for bold innovation. Our multi-disciplinary team thrives in dynamic environments, driving transformative advancements globally. Join us to make a meaningful impact on the world!

You will enjoy this job if you:
  • Want to work in a fast-paced start-up environment, prioritising growth over short-term gains
  • Like to work independently, as well as collaboratively with team members in other sub-teams
  • Have a positive learning mindset, and can quickly absorb knowledge to overcome challenges
  • Can assess risk and make time-critical decisions/tradeoffs in imperfect scenarios
Your Role

The Operations Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the administration and planning of all BeeX's Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) services, working under the direction of the Operations Manager. This role requires initiative, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and influence others without formal authority. The successful candidate will be process-driven, organised, and consistently deliver high-quality, repeatable results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Your Job Scope
  • Apply for and coordinate permits with the relevant authorities for all BeeX's operations.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in liaising with operational stakeholders, including but not limited to project management teams, workboat suppliers, port authorities, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and modify scheduling for the operations team in consultation with the Operations Manager, ensuring constant manpower availability to support ongoing operations.
  • Liaise with external parties to arrange operations-related training and ensure the validity of certifications and medical checkups for personnel.
  • Update operations metrics and maintain records of operational fleet and equipment readiness.
  • Escalate to the Operations Manager for any discrepancies, operational schedule clashes, or operational matters that may affect jobs assigned to the operational teams.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and other stakeholders in ensuring operational documentation (e.g., procedures, risk assessments) is kept continuously up to date for ISO audits.
  • Remain consistently aware of, and adhere to, the company's safety management system, including policies, safe working procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, work effectively in a dynamic environment, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Undertake challenges and respond positively and proactively to new demands.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining clear and consistent communication with colleagues.
  • Carry out other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Desired Qualities
  • Minimum Diploma in Maritime, Business, or Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of work experience in a related industry.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding the maritime / Oil & Gas / Offshore Wind Farm industry and associated processes.
  • Self-driven, with the ability to work systematically and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attentive to detail, organised, and accurate work product.
  • High cognitive ability.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic environment and react quickly to change.
  • Excellent cooperation and communication skills.
  • Familiarisation with ROV/AUV operations and technical capabilities will be an advantage.
  • Completion of safety-related and operational risk management courses.
Remuneration Package
  • Market-competitive salary
  • Growth opportunities that align with your direct ability in helping the company, rather than an arbitrary corporate ladder
  • ESOP / equity participation
  • Healthcare support
  • Special access to industry events
  • Well-stocked pantry with nice snacks
  • Support for skills upgrading / learning credits
