Qualifications

Job description

Position Overview

You would work closely with the Operations Manager and act as the point of contact to process transactions across asset classes, perform custodial and securities services operations, in both traditional and digital formats. In addition, you are expected to develop and process operational controls to ensure that the risk environment for operations in well managed.

Furthermore, you will need to participate in both business and technology projects as the SME of operations to perform business analysis across a variety of operational processes and systems. In addition, to assist the rest of the departments with day-to-day administration of operational activities and obligations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Securities Service and Custody Operations

  • Custody Operations: Manage the safekeeping and administration of both traditional and digital assets on behalf of clients.
  • Processing: Ensure accurate and timely delivery and receipt of securities in custody
  • Corporate Actions: Handle corporate actions related to the assets under custody
  • Reconciliation: Perform reconciliation of holdings and transactions in client accounts accurately and timely.

Trade Processing

  • Trade Execution and Settlement: Execute and monitor trade instructions for various securities, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and mutual funds
  • Trade Confirmation: Match trade details and provide trade confirmations to clients promptly
  • Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of trades, payments and positions between internal systems and external counterparties to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Reporting: Generate accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders

Others

  • Client Service: Provide timely and accurate information to clients on trades and resolve an issues or concerns
  • Risk Management: Ensure all trades comply with regulatory and risk policies. Manage risk register for Operations and perform risk control self-assessment to ensure effectiveness of operations controls.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all transactions.
  • Process improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of operation processes
  • Change Management: Act as SME for Operations in projects to ensure effective and scalable operational flows are set up and reviewed prior to launch of business or system changes
  • Audit: Act as point of contact for internal and external audit and reviews
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking/Finance or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience from financial institutions, banks or regulatory body.
  • Experience in middle office, trade processing, securities services operations preferred.
  • Have good knowledge of trade lifecycle across asset classes, including structured products and funds
  • Knowledge of digital assets and security token offerings preferred
  • Knowledge of AML-CFT/Anti-bribery and Corruption Compliance and Sanctions
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent relationship building, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and tenacious individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team.
