Job description

We are looking for an operations staff member to join our growing team at Advanced Research Commodities. As an operations staff member, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our trading activities, including trade processing, risk management, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

For your assigned agricultural commodities sector:

  • Process trades accurately and efficiently

  • Monitor and manage risk exposure

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Develop and maintain operational procedures

  • Support traders and brokers team with operational tasks

  • Coordination of shipping procedure and documentation

  • Manage administrative work and correspondence of mails related to contract orders

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and other business partners.

  • Other ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Polytechnic and above in business, logistics, or related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Semi-Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Familiarity with trading platforms and/or back-office systems is a plus

  • Able to start work immediately or within short notice preferred

  • Able to work independently in a dynamic environment

  • 1-2 years of experience in operations or a related field is preferred
