Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in commodity trading or related fields.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of UCP600 is an added advantage.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Trade Finance Department with the issuance, advising and negotiation of Letters of Credit.

• Ensure shipping documents are prepared in compliance with LC requirements.

• Liaise with banks, customers and suppliers to ensure timely processing of trade finance instruments.

• Prepare deal recaps and sale contracts

• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to support strategic trading decisions

• Vessel tracking and commodity price checks on relevant trade transactions

• Ensure smooth loading and discharging operations to prevent demurrage

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in commodity trading or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies or related disciplines
• Strong communication and coordination skills with an analytical mindset
• Meticulous, well organised and able to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of UCP600 is an added advantage
