Job summary

Michael Page International in Singapore is recruiting an experienced Operational Risk professional to lead and strengthen risk governance across investments, treasury and payments. You will manage and enhance the Operational Risk framework and drive remediation with stakeholders.

This is a broad, strategic role within a leading investment organisation in Singapore, offering visibility across investment operations, treasury activities and payment processes, with exposure to senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant Operational Risk experience within asset management or investment environments.
• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks across investments, treasury and payments.
• Excellent stakeholder-management skills and ability to operate independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the Operational Risk framework across investment, treasury and payment-related activities.
• Conduct risk assessments, control reviews, RCSAs, KRIs and ongoing monitoring across key processes.
• Assess operational risks relating to payment activities, including transaction processing, settlement and reconciliation.
• Identify control gaps and drive remediation in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide Operational Risk guidance across investment and operational functions while supporting continuous improvement.

Based in Singapore, the organisation manages a broad range of investment and operational activities supported by strong governance, risk and control frameworks. As part of its continued focus on strengthening its Operational Risk capabilities, the organisation is looking to appoint an experienced professional to join its Singapore team.

Job Description

• Manage and enhance the Operational Risk framework across investment, treasury and payment-related activities.
• Conduct risk assessments, control reviews, RCSAs, KRIs and ongoing monitoring across key operational processes.
• Assess operational risks relating to payment activities, including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation and associated controls.
• Identify control gaps, recommend practical enhancements and work closely with stakeholders to drive remediation initiatives.
• Provide Operational Risk guidance across investment and operational functions while supporting continuous improvement of the overall risk and control environment.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 8 years of relevant Operational Risk experience within asset management, investment management, family office or a closely related investment environment.
• Strong experience assessing operational risks and controls across payment operations, transaction processing, settlement and reconciliation.
• Good understanding of investment operations, treasury activities and the associated operational risk and control environment.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to operate independently, take ownership and work effectively across investment, finance, treasury and operational functions.
