Operational Risk Manager (2LOD)

This is a newly created role and the successful candidate's primary focus will be to support the Regional Head of Operational Risk in implementing best practices, ensuring consistency and standardisation, efficiency and effectiveness, and integration of the regional Operational Risk Framework with the Group.

Description

Reporting to the Regional Head of Operational Risk, the Operational Risk Manager will be involved in the following:

• Assist in addressing control deficiencies that surfaced as a result of a loss event, and/or exposure identified during an investigation from either an internal/external audit or regulatory review.
• Close monitoring of Outsourcing activities in the pipeline and provide guidance to Project Manager and Outsource Owner of the Outsourcing requirements.
• Review and challenge root cause analysis on identified operational risk events and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Close monitoring of the completion of all action plans to ensure agreed upon changes are completed to address identified control weakness.

Profile

To qualify, the potential Operational Risk Manager should meet the following criteria:

• At least 10 years of operational risk experience within the second line of defense.
• Team player with proactiveness and able to work independently.
• Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills.
