A leading company in the aviation sector is seeking an Operations Support Engineer to facilitate communication between production teams and suppliers. In this crucial role, you will address technical challenges across structural, mechanical, and avionics domains, ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position requires a degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description
The Operations Support Engineer serves as the vital link between production, suppliers, aircraft type certificate holders, and the engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing activities that involve analyzing and resolving technically specialized issues in the structural, mechanical, and avionics domains across ongoing projects. All tasks will be carried out in strict compliance with aviation quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Part A - Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Obtaining the necessary approvals (including legal) for structural and avionics repair proposals with accompanying test proposals from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) that you have drafted;
Technical contact person for both standardized and non-standardized maintenance tasks during the work preparation process, as well as for troubleshooting technical issues during the production process of a project (ad hoc);
Providing input to the Marketing & Sales department for project proposals and feasibility issues;
Preparing work instructions for outsourcing and addressing technical issues that arise from it;
Monitoring and, if necessary, adjusting the procurement and logistics process on a technical level when alternative components, consumables, or tooling need to be purchased;
Providing technical support to the Project Manager in the production process;
Responsible for updating and maintaining the damage charts to reflect the current aircraft condition for customers' visibility and reference.
Any ad-hoc assignments or projects as assigned by immediate superiors.
Part B. Required Experience, Competencies & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an aviation MRO or production environment.
Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance processes and related documentation (technical manuals regulations).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (EASA/FAA Part 21-Part M and TCCA regulations) is an added advantage.
