Job description

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage the supervision of departments in Air Freight

· Responsible for day to day operational effectiveness of import/ export/ warehouse handling

· Assist the preparation of quotations with team for local/ overseas offices/ agents whenever required

· Negotiate with co-loaders, carriers and vendors for the best rates

· Monitor and drive vendor’s performance and discuss continuous improvements

· Ensure operations team fully comply to custom’s regulations and company’s procedures

· Troubleshoot and provide solutions in resolving problems

· Ensure shipments are invoiced weekly and job files closed within the specified time frame

· Constantly look into continuous improvement of the business processes and procedures

· Liaise with local/ overseas offices/ agents on shipments damages/ problems

· Work closely with internal parties and foster good relationship

Requirements:

· Minimum Degree or professional certification in Supply Chain and Logistics

· Minimum 12 years working experience in handling import and export air freight shipment arrangements

· Must have strong air freight operation background

· Possess supervisory skills and able to manage more than 1 department, if required

· Knowledge in basic international shipping rules, shipping terms and related customs requirements

· Proficient in MS Office and familiar with trade-net systems
