Job description

Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Operation Executive (Crude Oil / LPG).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Vessel operations (CFR / DAP / FOB), vessel vetting, instructions on loading/discharging/ inspections, demurrage management, cargo insurance matters and related troubleshooting;

• Liaise with buyers, sellers, charterer, shipping brokers, terminal operators, joint ventures partners, trading team and relating team.

• Liaise with finance team to facilitate smooth invoicing and payment for cargoes, freight and all the operational expenses.

• Ensure demurrage claims are submitted within the time-bar to prevent defaults.

• Conduct lifting operations in accordance with relevant Offtake agreements and related agreements.

• Collaborate closely with traders to coordinate various aspects of cargo handling, working together with the team to drive adjustments and solutions as needed.

• Provide support during nighttime when necessary to address troubleshooting and communicate with regions in different time zone.

• Other ad hoc assignments if necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Commerce, Laws, or any related field. Maritime studies major is advantageous

• Experience in Tanker or VLGC operation is a must

• Knowledge in Maritime law

• Knowledge in Upstream contract is a must

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in oil/gas trading company handling day-to-day vessel operations/coordination related duties

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and IT-savvy to be able to use other software/platform required for trading & operations

• Ability to work independently, as well as being a good team player with good communication
