A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer/Coordinator. Responsibilities include liaising with management for scheduling, supervising site activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and managing project documentation. The role demands strong organizational skills and a commitment to high standards in project execution.
a) Liaise with Project and Operations Managers for work scheduling and site arrangement.
b) Assume roles and responsibilities as Project Engineer and/or Coordinator for assigned projects.
c) Assist Project/Operations Manager in fulfilling project management duties.
d) Report and support all operational matters, including administration, manpower scheduling, training, staff evaluations, and progress tracking.
e) Prepare work plans for execution of various project components.
f) Supervise and manage site activities, and provide updates to the Project Manager.
g) Ensure high quality of work and timely project completion.
h) Attend project coordination and progress meetings.
i) Track and update workflow related to purchase order status.
j) Conduct site surveys and prepare quotations for client submission.
k) Troubleshoot issues and provide alternative technical solutions to clients, including maintenance support.
l) Manage and maintain all project-related documentation, such as service reports, maintenance logs, risk assessments, certificates of completion, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
m) Contribute to capability development and business development initiatives.
n) Implement and uphold Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and requirements.
o) Educate, interpret, and ensure compliance of WSH standards among site workers.
p) Conduct site briefings and training for site supervisors.
q) Evaluate site supervisor and worker performance for continuous improvement
