The Role
Collaborate effectively and efficiently with the surgical team to provide quality care for patient in the operating theatre. Assist and support the surgical team in preparing for the day-to-day operations.
Key accountabilities
Comply with infection control and health care associated infection control practices
Maintain cleanliness of the environment
Check functionality of the operating table
Charge all equipment when not in use
Inspect and check on the functionality of basic and special equipment such as video camera systems including the accessories
Capture all pictures and video during the surgery
Contribute new ideas to improve processes and systems
Troubleshoot and provide contingency plan when equipment breakdown
Anticipate and source for alternative if system of choice is not available
Perform other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level or equivalent, with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills
People-oriented, flexible, adaptable and positive work attitude
Knowledge and skills in handling medical equipment will be of added advantage
5-days work week, AM and afternoon shifts with sleep-in on-call duties
