Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services APAC is seeking an OpenShift Platform Engineer in Singapore to administer and optimize OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and scalable deployments. You will work with CI/CD tooling and GitOps practices to deliver containerized applications and maintain robust operational runbooks.

Responsibilities include supporting onboarding and migrations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and participating in incident management, RCA, and disaster recovery

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in platform engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift and container platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps practices.

Job Description

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) clusters to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Provision and manage OpenShift resources, including Projects, Namespaces, RBAC, Routes, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes. Perform cluster installation, upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and routine platform maintenance activities. Deploy and manage containerized applications using CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Provision and manage OpenShift resources, including Projects, Namespaces, RBAC, Routes, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes. Perform cluster installation, upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and routine platform maintenance activities. Deploy and manage containerized applications using CI/CD and GitOps tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Support application onboarding, migrations, and production deployments in collaboration with development, infrastructure, and security teams. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), change implementation, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide production and on-call support to ensure platform availability and timely resolution of critical incidents.
• Respond to production outages, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and restore services within agreed SLA timelines.
