Job summary

GREENMARK CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is hiring a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) cum Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to manage safety, health and environmental matters on construction sites.

Immediate start with responsibilities spanning WSHMS/EMP implementation, inspections, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance. The role requires assignment as WSHO and ECO, coordination with authorities, and delivery of inductions and regular reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction.
• Must be registered MOM WSHO and NEA ECO.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager/Project Manager in safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Serve as the designated WSHO and ECO for the project.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain the WSHMS and EMP.
• Conduct daily site safety, health, and environmental inspections and address hazards.
• Ensure risk assessments and SWPs are implemented on site.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental controls (dust, noise, waste, water pollution, erosion, vector control, housekeeping).
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, MOM, NEA, and others on safety/environment matters.
• Conduct safety and environmental inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety/environment reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, Environmental Public Health Act and project requirements.
• Promote a strong safety and environmental culture and drive improvements on site.
