Job description

Electrical and electronic engineering & related

The on-site engineer ensures the safe and reliable operation of all units. This role involves supporting the on-site manager in planning and executing shutdown maintenance, and swiftly responding to supply interruptions to minimize downtime. The engineer also investigates and analyzes root causes of issues to prevent recurrence. Furthermore, the engineer contributes to new projects through technical reviews and commissioning, and ensures compliance with the industrial management system (IMS) and supports technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective and efficient maintenance services for all on-site plants.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are within project schedule, budget, and meet customer requirements.
  • Manage maintenance and operation procedures; adhere to local regulatory, safety, and industrial standards.
  • Review and perform gap analysis for IMS (GP/GT/GE) compliance.
  • Ensure identified action plans are followed and completed timely.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support audits.
  • Innovate and seek new ways of working to generate savings or simplify processes.
  • Support the management of change process as defined by IM and support evaluation.
  • Propose ideas to generate SMART savings without compromising safety and reliability.
  • Implement initiatives sponsored by IM-WBL and IM-ROC.
  • Perform root cause analysis (8D reports) for incidents.
  • Analyze reliability performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the on-site manager in reporting reliability performance and explaining incident reports to customers.
  • Provide recommendations for repair methods.
Key Requirements:
  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation preferred.
  • Experience in plant maintenance and operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, solenoids, signals, etc.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills in PLC, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and neighboring countries when required.
  • Possession of a class 3 license is an advantage.
