Role Summary:
We are seeking an Applications Engineer to be based on-site at a customer facility, serving as the primary point of contact for all matters related to Flowserve's Mechanical Seal products. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, technical support, training delivery, and quotation preparation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both the customer and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, uphold performance standards, and strengthen the overall customer relationship.
Responsibilities:
Manage all assigned activities at the customer site, including correspondence, open orders, drawings, proposals, and service recommendations.
Provide engineering and service support, conduct failure analyses, and offer training as required.
Generate and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports and other relevant documentation for internal management and the customer.
Perform on-site analysis of failed seals and equipment, and lead in-depth root cause failure analysis (RCFA) in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Select appropriate seals and support systems, considering Flowserve product specifications, operating conditions, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with workshop and plant personnel to monitor order status and ensure adherence to technical and delivery specifications.
Support field service operations through the assembly, disassembly, and installation of seals.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings with a solid mechanical foundation and customer-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work onsite in challenging or rugged industrial environments.
Open to both experienced candidates and fresh graduates in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
