Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Market & Risk Analyst to join the Economics & Scheduling team at Bukom, Singapore. You will analyse oil market trends, price movements and risk exposures, translating signals into insights for commercial, optimisation and hedging decisions.

The role focuses on supporting refinery economics, product value drivers and margin optimisation across the integrated Bukom complex, working with stakeholders across Commercial, Planning and Operations.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
Strong data analysis and ability to translate market signals into actionable insights.
Experience in oil markets, refinery economics, trading analytics or price risk management is preferred.
Proficiency with Excel, Power BI or similar tools.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Monitor short- to mid-term oil market developments and price movements.
Prepare market updates, dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
Link market fundamentals to refinery economics to support margin opportunities.
Track pricing and risk exposures across positions and report movements.
Support hedging recommendations and execution per policy.
Maintain pricing data and benchmarks from sources like Platts, ICIS, Argus, ICE.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather market intelligence.
Support lookbacks and post-decision reviews to assess impact of moves.
