Officer/Senior Officer, Trade Finance Operations (Wholesale Bank)

StriveX is partnering with a Wholesale Bank who is seeking an Officer/Senior Officer to join their Trade Finance Operations Department. In this role, you will be performing end to end documentary trade transactions processing and documents checking, ensuring smooth and timely processing of trade finance products.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of trade finance and trade-related financing transactions.
• Assess and verify the workability of LC terms.
• Handle settlements and SWIFT messaging for trade operations.
• Serve as the primary contact for transaction-related inquiries, collaborating with Relationship Managers and clients.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct screenings and sanction checks in compliance with AML/CFT guidelines.
• Examine trade documents, identify discrepancies, and flag potential risks.
• Track maturity dates and follow up on pending items.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports.
• Address non-compliance issues promptly to mitigate risks.
• Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and ad-hoc projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in trade finance operations.
• Strong understanding of trade products, including UCP, ISP, ISBP, URDG, URC, URR, and Incoterms.
• Proactive mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team.
• Knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, data protection, and operational risk controls.
