What the role is

We are looking for a meticulous and motivated individual to lead a team of officers in managing full-time diploma admissions, data requests and analysis. The candidate should have a good understanding of the tertiary education landscape and be able to recommend strategies for intake planning. Those with vast prior experience and a good track record in managing tertiary admissions or similar operational roles may be considered for a more senior position.

What you will be working on

Key Tasks Include The Following:

  1. Plan and administer admission exercises, including end-to-end admissions process from application review to offer and enrolment.
  2. Process applications in alignment with institutional policies and admission criteria.
  3. Review existing processes and propose enhancements to manage the admission exercises in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Monitor, analyse and report trends in admissions and course demand.
  5. Manage course streaming and course transfer processes.
  6. Maintain a strong understanding of the admissions policies and procedures, and work with internal stakeholders and external agencies on implementation of admission processes.
  7. Manage system enhancements and development, including requirement gathering, user acceptance testing and data verification.
  8. Prepare data and statistics related to admissions.
  9. Review, plan and deliver customer-centric services and procedures.
  10. Manage admissions related enquiries and appeals.

What we are looking for

  1. Relevant qualification with at least 5 years of relevant work experience and with at least 3 years of experience in leading a team.
  2. Prior work experience from another educational institution would be advantageous.
  3. High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
  4. Able to multi-task and handle competing priorities within tight timelines.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  6. Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills.
  7. IT savvy and proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Knowledge in the use of tools for accurate and efficient analysis of large quantities of data such as Excel VBA, Python or R programming would be advantageous.
