Job description

Christ Methodist Church Office Manager/PA to Pastor-in-charge

Christ Methodist Church is seeking an organized and proactive Office Manager/PA to the Pastor-in-charge to support the Pastor-in-charge and the administrative functions of our Church Office. This role is essential in ensuring efficient communication and coordination across departments, facilitating planning, and supporting executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and strategic support to the reporting officer in day-to-day operations and key initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage local office administration, budget control, and workplace safety and health compliance.
  • Address employee inquiries and manage employee relations matters while coordinating local initiatives such as company events to foster engagement.
  • Support the Pastor-in-charge in calendaring.
  • Act as a gatekeeper to internal and external stakeholders when meeting times are required from the Pastor-in-charge.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to create reports.
  • Keep track of administration vendors.
  • Create effective workflows for administration.
  • Work with various ministries to drive necessary changes.
  • Coordinate internal communications to ensure smooth collaboration across teams and alignment with church goals.
  • Support the implementation of church policies and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance across administrations.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A-Level or Polytechnic graduate.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Proficiency in business reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in executive support and office management to understand the work context and expectations.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
