Job summary

Temasek’s Ecosperity internship invites you to contribute to climate action and sustainable development through advocacy and convenings. The role supports strategy development, event planning, and engagement with senior external stakeholders.

You will collaborate across Temasek’s Ecosperity team and partners to drive thought leadership and meaningful dialogue on sustainability topics, while gaining hands-on experience in a global investment firm.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, with informed perspectives on trends, developments and policies in sustainable development and climate action.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take initiative.
  • Experience in strategy development and/or executing high-impact events is preferred.
  • Enjoy engaging with stakeholders and building relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop research pieces on focus topics for Ecosperity’s advocacy strategies and convening efforts.
  • Support the curation of session narratives for high-level discussions at Ecosperity’s key convenings.
  • Play the role of liaison officer to senior external stakeholders, including developing admin briefs for speakers, presenters and partners.
  • Provide onsite support for Ecosperity’s convenings.

Introduction

In partnership with various teams across Temasek and our broader ecosystem, the Sustainability Group initiates, develops and implements strategies to build a climate-resilient, net zero portfolio to enable nature positive and inclusive growth; catalyses new business opportunities and solutions that contribute to sustainable development; advances thought leadership and engagement on sustainability topics; and supports our growth as a sustainable organisation to create shared value aligned with our mandate of generating sustainable returns over the long term.

The Sustainability Group comprises of the following sub-teams and partners with the investment group and functional teams to strengthen our sustainability capabilities and ecosystem.

  • Sustainability Strategy: advance our strategy and policy towards net zero, nature positive, and inclusive growth and drive institutional and community-related sustainability initiatives.
  • Sustainable Solutions: drive decarbonisation in portfolio companies and unlock new investment opportunities in Sustainable Living trends by identifying emerging thematics and catalysing innovative solutions
  • ESG Investment Management: advance ESG integration across our investment process including portfolio engagement to help strengthen long-term portfolio resiliency and value creation
  • Ecosperity: accelerate systems-change by harnessing our Ecosperityplatform to drive year-round engagements, thought leadership, and advocacy
Short Description

Ecosperity is Temasek’s core platform for sustainability advocacy and engagement. Through the platform, the Singapore-headquartered global investment firm drives global sustainability thought leadership with the development and execution of year-round activities to convene conversations, catalyse action, and push the climate change and sustainable development agenda.

This internship position supportstheEcosperityteamin developingadvocacy strategies andexecuting convenings.

Requirements
  • Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Interns who are able to commit to a full-time (5 days/week) or a minimum of part-time (4 days/week) internship is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, with informed perspectives on the latest trends, developments and policies in sustainable development and climate action
  • A self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
  • Resourceful, adaptable, motivated, and has initiative and a “can do” attitude
  • Experience in strategy development and/or executing high-impact events preferred
  • Enjoy engaging with stakeholders and building relationships
