The Oculoplasty Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the eyelids, tear ducts, and the orbit, including trauma, tumors, and congenital abnormalities.Key Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat patients with oculoplastic conditions, including eyelid surgery, lacrimal system disorders, orbital trauma, and tumors. Surgical Procedures: Perform various oculoplastic surgeries, such as eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), orbital surgery, tear duct procedures (dacryocystorhinostomy), and ptosis correction. Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Manage the pre-operative and post-operative care of patients undergoing oculoplasty procedures. Patient Consultation: Provide expert consultations, explain treatment options, and guide patients through the treatment process, including surgery and non-surgical options. Emergency Care: Handle ocular trauma cases and emergency procedures for eyelid injuries, orbital fractures, and other urgent oculoplastic conditions. Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with other ophthalmologists, plastic surgeons, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Patient Education: Educate patients about the potential risks, benefits, and aftercare associated with oculoplastic procedures. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including consultation notes, treatment plans, and surgery reports. Stay Updated: Continuously stay updated on the latest advancements in oculoplastic techniques and technologies.Qualifications: Educational Qualifications: MBBS, MD/MS in Ophthalmology, or equivalent. Fellowship or specialization in Oculoplasty, Ocular Surgery, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Oculoplasty Specialist (Ophthalmologist). Proven expertise in performing eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital surgeries. Skills: In-depth knowledge of oculoplastic procedures and treatments. Strong surgical skills in eyelid and orbital surgery.
