An established industry player is seeking a dedicated logistics coordinator to manage import and export ocean freight shipments. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling shipments, tracking their status, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Job Responsibilities:
Planning and Scheduling: Coordinating and planning the arrival schedules of Import / Export Ocean freight shipments to ensure efficient processing and delivery.
Tracking Shipments: Monitoring and tracking the status of incoming shipments to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition.
Email communication: Attend to email correspondence with customers & overseas agents
Billing: Preparing billing invoice to customers & verify invoices from vendor
Carrier Liaison: Working closely with Carrier, Coloader and ground handling agents or freight forwarder to manage sailing schedules, cargo space allocation, and any issues related to outbound / inbound shipments
Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving any customs-related issues, such as classification disputes or valuation problems, that could delay the release of goods.
Documentation Management: Preparing, reviewing, and processing all necessary import documentation, including air waybills, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Customs Compliance: Ensuring all shipments comply with customs regulations by preparing and submitting accurate customs declarations and other required documents.
Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving any customs-related issues, such as classification disputes or valuation problems, that could delay the release of goods.
Regulatory Adherence: Keeping up-to-date with international and domestic regulations to ensure all import activities comply with the latest standards.
Any other adhoc duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
Min. Diploma in Logistics/Freight Forwarding
With at least 2 years of logistics/freight forwarding experiences
Proficient with MS Office
Able to start immediate or short notice
