ABOUT THE ROLE

DESIGNATION : Occupational Therapist

RESPONSIBILITIES

An Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing client care, performing therapy execution and client education activities to an assigned group of clients. They perform continuing education and research to achieve quality client care.

They are also conscientious in providing therapy recommendations based on evaluation of the client's condition. They may work in various settings within MINDS ranging from special schools to employment or training and development centres.

They may also work as part of collaborative, interdisciplinary teams which may include teachers, training officers, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists and speech therapists. They should have initiative and be sensitive to the needs of their clients. They should possess communication and problem-solving skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy from an institution recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council
  • AHPC Full, Restricted or Conditional Registration
